Denim jackets seem to be having a moment on the ol' high-street. They are saturating all the high-street .com's but seem to have a twist. The jackets are fringed with tassels, they have been ripped to add a little grunge and they deviate from the usual blue, with a pink number being high up on my fashion DIY list. However, it is this classic oversized Levi's jacket that has me comfortably coated for spring. I found this jacket in Oxfam a few years ago now and it's one of those things I can't see myself parting with for a long ol' while. I have featured it a number of times on my blog over the past few years. I wore it with a little tartan and a casual jumper over 2 years ago on pretty much a daily basis and it's still the one I reach to every morning as it goes with bloomin' everything. For around the £10 mark in Oxfam it was definitely money well spent all that time ago and is seeing me through spring wonderfully.

Prior to moving from one area of the big city to another, I had to ensure that I made the most of the wonderful second-hand shops in my area. On the numerous occasions I ventured in, I came up trumps a fair few times. With the khaki suede coat being the first of my favourite new (but second hand) purchases, I went on to discover many hidden gems amongst the packed rails. I went on to discover a retro Ellesse jumper, the comfiest slouchy grey t-shirt with an open back and colourful, summer suitable shorts with scribblings of love written on them. I have previewed all of these purchases on Instagram Stories because, yup, I finally figured out how to use it. One of the purchases was the Topshop top I'm wearing here. New, with all the tags in tact, it was definitely not one to leave on the rails. Pie-crust style necklines seem to be engulfing the high-street and this t-shirt is my way of getting in on the trend for a lot less with the help of Oxfam. I have shared a few of my tips on how to get the most from charity shopping in a few previous post so if you're heading out to donate to charity (read: buy all the loveliness) then have a little read of theses oldies - Five Tips for Charity Shopping and Five Tips for Charity Shopping: Part II. And be sure to let me know if you buy anything, I'm a little nosey like that y'see.

Coat: Cancer Research Shop, Jumpsuit: Sue Ryder, Top: Oxfam, Boots: Shoe Zone (Old but Similar), Hat: ASOS

It seemed as though spring had arrived on Saturday.  It was the first day I have worn my suede coat I bought from my local Cancer Research shop and not had to run inside to the nearest building to protect it from some sort of sudden rainstorm. Not knowing that I was missing a khaki suede coat from my wardrobe, it was one of those charity shop purchases that I didn't know I needed until I saw it hidden amongst the rail of jackets. It wasn't until I was caught out in the rain, shielding myself under bus stop/lamp post/back-of-the-person-in-fronts-umbrella that I realised perhaps it wasn't the most practical of purchases for the transitional English weather. But being such a bloody bargain, I couldn't let it go.

With the weather looking to stay rain-free, I took the opportunity to wear this for a little brunch. And then a few sneaky Aperol Spritz which, along with the charity shopping, hold a special place in my second-hand heart. The topic turned to weddings as my friend is tying the knot later this year. Naturally the chat (or rather, my questions) turned to the dress. She has picked out her dress and it sounds bloomin' amazing. It got me thinking where I would go to pick up the ultimate dress. I assume I would choose a little vintage Dior or something not too dissimilar from THE Vivienne Westwood Carrie wore for the Big wedding: Round 1. Lucky for my poor bank card, I'm not getting hitched. But if I were, I would love to find that little bit of vintage for a little less. I would be searching the second-hand shops every weekend and the Bridal Pop Up Oxfam are holding in West Yorkshire this Saturday would be the perfect place to start. Visit the Facebook page for more information. Or if, like me, you're not wondering up the aisle, then visit the Vintage section of the Oxfam website for a little bit of greatness for less.

Dunagrees- Oxfam, Top: H&M (Similar), Shoes: Converse

It's been a fair old while since I wore dungarees. I have loved the whole vintage dungaree trend for the past few years and think Levi dungarees with a slouchy t-shirt is such a great look for the summer. As much as I love the look, I have never been able to find the dungarees for me. That's excluding the orange and pink floral pair I had when I was four. They were a keeper but naturally and unfortunately, I grew out of them. When browsing around Oxfam the other day I spotted this blue cord pair. Although not the oversized pair of my dreams, I was happy with the fit. The fit is usually the thing I struggle with so to have a pair that fit for a few pounds, well, it was winner winner vegetarian dinner all round. Having worn them with t-shirts and shirts layered underneath I have also worn them with a big jumper over the top, the trousers slightly rolled up and scruffy trainers chucked on because the colour of them is too nice to reserve for dungaree days only!
