My latest fashion DIY post is now up on CLIC Sargent’s fashion blog, Fix Up Look Sharp. Since mens shirts, in my opinion, are the easiest product to find in most charity shops, I decided to base my latest DIY post on this. Since I find skirts/trousers the hardest items to find, I decided to see what I could make out of the most accessible item. With the whole button-up skirt trend still all over the high-street, I thought the buttons of the shirt would be the perfect way to incorporate such a trend. With this shirt costing £2 and with only a few additional items required (i.e. hook and bar, thread), this DIY’d skirt comes in pretty cheap! If you fancy having a go at making your own skirt from a shirt that costs next-to-nothing then head over to CLIC Sargent’s blog, Fix Up Look Sharp. Since there are so many types of shirts on offer in second-hand shops it would be possible to make this skirt again and again in different fabrics and patterns – the button-up skirt possibilities are endless!
