Every year the cold weather hits then it moves on to spring before I have managed to get round to picking up a winter coat. I end up wearing 54 layers topped off with an unsuitable leather jacket. However, a fair ol’ while ago I picked up a this long, grey, beautifully lined blazer-style coat from Oxfam so this year when the temperature dropped, per-rtty unbearably, below 0 degrees I was ready! Topped off with a faux-fur stole from Joules and I was as cozy as ever.
Whilst the charity shops may not be the first place you think off when considering updating your winter warmers, it’s definitely a place I would recommend taking a mooch around for such items of clothing. I have had a quick browse of the Oxfam website (for blog purposes only, ahem) and found a fair ol’ few beauties of jackets. There’s a Henry Holland faux fur number which, with a slick of red lipstick, I’m pretty sure would make you invincible. There’s a smart black Libra coat which has the most beautiful (detachable) oversized grey fur collar – I’m tempted, I’m tempted! Another favourite of mine (last one, I promise) is a black slouchy jacket with, of course, a little bit of a fur collar – I’m a little obsessed!
