Vintage X Farfetch

The great thing about wearing vintage during the festive season is that it is unlikely you will end up wearing the same outfit as anyone else. If you're looking to purchase something a little special this December and you are a vintage nut (as I am) then you will love the vintage section of Farfetch.  From Yves Saint Laurent shoes (yes, please) to beautiful John Paul Gaultier dresses, they have the most beautiful vintage outfit for everyone. I have put together a few of my favourite items from Farfetch, a wish-list curated from all the vintage loveliness.

Shoes: Hermes Vintage, 80's Body: Krizia Vintage, Trousers: Louis Feraud Vintage

One things which always makes me weary of venturing out in the evenings after the 1st of December is the cold. Call me old but the thought of wondering out in sub 5 degree temperatures actually makes me shiver (as I sit here typing from under a duvet in the world's biggest jumper). Bearing in mind the temperature when curating my wish-list (because, ya know, I'm British and always considering the weather) my first outfit choice were these snazzy (yup, snazzy) trousers with an 80's body. The longer sleeves and trouser length would provide that much needed warmth and would look great with these beautiful big ol' heels, a slick of a bold lipstick and some super sized earrings.

The first word which springs to mind when 'festive','party' and 'outfit' are mentioned is 'glitter' and lots of it. However, when treating yo' self to a special vintage designer item, it's likely that you're going to want an item versatile enough to wear all year round rather than just for the 12 days of Christmas. That's why the second section of my wish-list is centred around this beautiful Commes Des Garcon check top. As well as dressing it up with culottes, lipstick and party-worthy Yves Saint Laurent shoes, it also wouldn't look out of place with a bit of denim and a flick of eye-liner when heading out for Pimms in those warmer summer months.
Vintage
Sometimes there is nothing better than throwing on a beautiful dress with a few simple accessories and heading out the door. This John Galliano vintage dress is one such dress that enables minimal outfit planning. With wavy hair, lipstick and these beautiful vintage shoes you would be ready to head  out the door in less than and hour which means more time for dancing, eating mine pies and drinking mulled wine (although, not all at the same time).
