Since late last year I have been an Oxfam Fashion Blogger. I really enjoy writing my posts for Oxfam as I get to chat about all things fashion, DIY and charity shopping! What’s not to love? I thought I would do a quick round-up of my post so far and chat a little about a few of my favourite posts from other bloggers too. My little section of the Oxfam website can be found over here.
An Outfit Post
My first post was this outfit post made up of this festival-worthy jacket from Oxfam. I love this jacket and when I spotted it in Oxfam just after becoming an Oxfam blogger, well, I thought it was fate. I bought it to celebrate and wore it for my first Oxfam OOTD. It’s so easy to wear and I have loved pairing it with everything from jeans to a floaty black dress and big ol’ gold hoopla earrings.
Before becoming a blogger for Oxfam, the DIY section of the Oxfam Fashion Blog was my first stop on the inter-web when lacking inspiration. With sewing tips to get the perfect fit when buying a vintage dress (always useful when charity shopping) and festival fashion ideas (including this super cool pair of floral sunglasses) there are enough ideas to keep you DIY-ing until Christmas. I have written a few posts which are all about simple and fun fashion DIY’s. First up I wrote about all things decorative as I added an abundance of trims to my denim jacket after dyeing it (which can be seen here). For my most recent post I went over the process of dip-dyeing my old and unloved grey t-shirt (pictured above).
An Ol’ Fashioned Natter
Having a natter with my friends is a favourite pastime of mine. Chuck charity shopping and fashion (and maybe a bit of lunch) into the mix then I’m a happy gal. This is why being an Oxfam Fashion Blogger is exciting for me. I can just chat about my favourite charity shopping experiences/purchases. So far, I have touched on my love of a shirt and the perfect spring cover-up. I’m sure I will continue to enjoy chatting about all things thrifted over on the Oxfam Fashion Blog. Come over and say hi 🙂
