Not on the High Street

Dress: Handmade, Shirt: Oxfam, Necklace: A bit of necklace DIY, Shoes: River Island

I told a little lie in the title of this post – these shoes actually can be found on the High Street. They are from River Island a while back but there are currently similar pairs in Topshop (here).  The rest of this outfit is not on the highstreet. I made this dress a while back and the shirt was a favourite find of mine from Oxfam. I keep meaning to make another dress in this shape with another material so I don’t forget how to construct it – time to go fabric shopping then 🙂 Fabric shopping is one of my new favourite things to do since I learnt how to sew – it is dangerous though as I could possibly spend my life-savings within a few hours.

I have been loving padlock necklaces since they were seen recently on the catwalks of London. Instead of forking out for a Chanel padlock – I’m speaking as though this is an option… – I rummaged around my (very messy and muddled) jewellery box and found this chain. I then considered going to the local hardware store to purchase a padlock but before I did I checked our ‘cracker crap’ draw and found 2 mini padlocks. For the first time ever the present from the inside of a Christmas cracker has come in handy. I’ve got high hopes for this years Christmas cracker – fingers cross for a colourful padlock with the Chanel ‘C’ on!

Love, Hannah x

Eeeee this is such a cute outfit! I'm rubbish at 'DIY-ing' things so the fact you basically have a Chanel (wink) necklace for free is amazing! x
