Saturday Sewing Session

Dress: Handmade, Shoes: River Island (similar here), Hat: TK Maxx (similar here), Bag: Modalu

I have spent the last few Tuesday evenings at the Saturday Sewing Session in London. This is a sewing school near the Fulham Broadway tube and I can’t recommend it enough. So far I have completed a skirt making course (on which I made a starry co-ord which can be seen on my Instagram feed here) and a shift dress making course which I made a dress similar to the one in the pictures. On the Wednesday following the course I put together the blue and white dress pictured using the methods I learnt from the Saturday Sewing Session. I’m really pleased with the way the dress turned out and I can’t wait to make another one – I’m thinking dark tartan for a good ol’ autumnal dress next. If you have a Saturday or a week night free and you’re based in London I would definitely recommend getting yourself down to this sewing school – you can learn how to make your own dress/skirt/kaftan and be supplied with tea and biscuits along the way. Bliss!

Love, Hannah x
