Jacket: Charity Shop, Lace Overlay: Urban Outfitters, Shoes: River Island
This jacket was £1.50 from a charity shop and is possibly one of my favourite charity shop items to date. It's peachy/pinky colour is so pretty and makes me want to kit myself out in late Downton Abbey-esque 1920's gear from head to toe.

I watch a lot of TV. I just love a good ol' programme. Anything from Call the Midwife to The Great British Bake Off to re-runs of Friends. However, sometimes it is nice to feel slightly (ever so slightly) productive when watching the TV which is why I am forever on the look out for easy DIY (sewing) projects which can be completed whilst being totally engulfed in the dresses from a 1950's London or wishing I could bake just one biscuit to impress Paul and Mary.

Throughout June I set myself a challenge. I wanted to wear something different and not newly bought each day. I had a fair few items of clothing in my wardrobe and I really wanted to give it a clear out and get more wear from the clothes that I did like. At the beginning of June I filled a bag of unloved clothes and shipped them off to my local charity shop - this felt good, something I would definitely recommend and have now vowed to do more often.

Finally! I have now posted all my outfits from June - I'm trying to ignore the fact that it's the middle of August now. Throughout June I set myself a mini challenge to wear a different outfit everyday and not to buy new clothes which I successfully completed!

I did not anticipate how hot it would be on the 29th of June. I have memories of walking home from town feeling like my legs were expanding in this old pair of disco dupes. I imagine that if I had to re-wear them after I took them off at home the scene wouldn't have been too dissimilar from the Ross's leather pant incident in Friends.

I found this dress in a local charity shop near my house. I didn't have any party/formal-ish occasions coming up so I tried to dress it down with some big ol' boots and black nail varnish. The dress was £7.99 and is 100% silk which is a winner in my charity shop eyes.

This scarf/headband was the best bargain - I bought it from Oxfam at Leigh on Sea for 50p. It proved it's worth by being perfect for dressing up (read: hiding) greasy hair and keeping hair out my face as the temperature towards the end of June edged up.
